Guy ready for home charge
Guy and co-driver Phil Pugh begin final preparations for RACMSA Rally of Scotland with a gravel test today (Wednesday).
The Peugeot UK pair hope to cover around 60km on forest roads near Aberfeldy.
Shakedown is at 4.30pm tomorrow (Thursday) and the rally starts with two 5.2-mile night stages on Friday.
Guy told guywilks.com: "We feel really good in the car at the moment. We've got new dampers and we had a good two-day test with Peugeot Sport in Scotland last month."
Guy won Rally of Scotland in 2009 and was leading last year until he hit trouble.
The double British champion said: "We've been on the pace in Scotland for the last two years - now we just need to transfer it to the Peugeot and get a result.
"It's our home round of the IRC and it's a special feeling driving in front of your home fans, family and friends.
"I'd love to win it for Peugeot UK and end the year on a high."
Six of the top seven IRC drivers are contesting Rally of Scotland, the penultimate round of the series, which has bonus points of 1.5 on offer.
The rally winner will score 37.5 points (instead of 25) and second place 27 (instead of 18) and so on.
Guy, driving a patriotic red, white and blue Peugeot UK 207 S2000, said: "It's all about performance not the points for us now. It's going to be a big fight but we have nothing to fear.
"We know our rivals are going to be tough and it's going to be flat out from the word go but that just means the winner will have earned it."
